The Classic Version of the Wasp statue was digitally sculpted by Jason Smith and released in 2012 with an edition size of 1000 pieces. This collectible is very original and represents a little jewel in the vast catalogue of Bowen Design: the figure, in fact, is tall approximately 10 cm, but it is realized with a great care and can count on perfect proportions and a good aesthetic impact. The sinuous body of Janet Van Dyne is attached to the circular base by a curved wake, made of a transparent resin, which connects the support to one foot and provides the piece with a good stability. The physique of the heroine is well done and shows a dynamic pose, with both arms slightly stretched backwards, with the right leg bent and the left elongated and the face rotated with respect to the bust. The suit is faithful to the original Comics of the silver Age, with a very chaste blue costume covering the body, a red bustier with semi-rigid lapels on shoulders and a black belt at waist. The figure is completed by long red boots and gloves and a pair of transparent wings, simmetrically positioned on the back. The mask shows the typical pointed-shape at top and leaves the face uncovered, with two antennas on the forehead and a microphone on the left side, which Wasp gives orders with to her small friends. The base is well done too: in essence, it is composed by three concentric and circular cylinders and shows, on top, the symbol on the Avengers team. This piece is a nice collectible, useful to complete the group of the Avengers in its most classic and original form and also to enrich your collection with a top-quality (although small) jewel!
